Abstract

Objective:To evaluate happiness and its relevant factors of elderly who participate in morning exercise in Wuxi area.Methods:158 elderly who participate in morning exercise and 172 elderly from urban area of Wuxi were investigated by Memorial University of Newfoundland Scale of Happiness(MUNSH)and general health status questionnaire.Factor analysis was used to study the relationship between Happiness and relevant factors.Results:The average level of happiness of study groups was higher than that of general social elderly,and they had advantage in psychological health.The factors of economic condition,interpersonal relationship,family support and affect activity were negatively related to happiness.Conclusion:It is instrumental in increasing happiness of the elderly to participate in exercising.
