Abstract
Yu Zhaochang,with an English name of Paul Yee,was a famous Chinese Canadian English writer known for his children's books.His children's literature works,based on children's discovery and ethnic Chinese people's standpoint,calling for Chinese Canadian's rights and interests,displayed the history of ethnic Chinese with distinct ethnic Chinese people's ideology.In form,his works embodied many factors of Chinese folklore with strong affective strength,and formed the objective third-person-omniscient point of view,as well as a succinct and plain but ever-changing writing style,and combined the features of modernity,narration,fantasy,growth,readability,and simplicity.
