Abstract
The domestic banking system in China is facing a big challenge along with Chinese entry into WTO. China's financial supervision is going to be tested seriously at the same time. It will be natural for China's financial enterprise to adopt a universal banking system. Therefore, many people feel necessary to set up a system of functional supervision and finally consummate China s financial regulation. However, such an effort can be effectively fulfilled only in reference to American law of the modernization for financial service. On the other hand, an analysis of the relevant theories and legal provisions in Australia, Japan, Germany, UK, Canada will also be necessary for this effort.
