Abstract

Continuous-time sigma-delta modulator contains two frequency domains, which is one of the key points in system design. This paper presents a new systen design methodology after analyzing classic continuous-time sigma-delta modulator system design flow.The CT-DT conversion is added to the method,which converts continuous-time loop filter to discrete-time state space. In discrete-time state space,the modulator can be designed on the mature discrete-time design platform.The methodology can reduce the iteration and speed the design process.With the methodology,a continuous-time sigma delta modulator for mobile TV is designed as an example.
