Abstract
Canada is a multi-ethnic,multicultural,and multi-religious country composed of immigrants and aboriginal people(Indian people and Inuit people).The minority education policies in Canada have gone from assimilation to multiculture,and then to civic education which lays stress on the unity identity.Facing the theoretical criticism and the practical questioning,the minority education policy of Canada is undergoing a new historical transition:the increasingly diversified development under the interactive impact of such ideological trends as neoliberalism,neoconservatism and equal right to speech in liberal society.
