The formation mechanism of silver nanoparticle was discussed in terms of crystallography: the growth of silver nanoparticle adapts to Bravis rule.The high lattice network densities of silver are(111),(200),(110) and(100).It is analyzed that the variation growth tendency of silver crystalline morphologies based on silver unit cell: octahedron and tetrahedron firstly,and then cube;the morphologies of cube,octahedron and granatohedron,plus-minus tetrahedron and cube are commonly,combinate form of octahedron,cube and granatohedron;and coexist with different morphologies of silver nanoparticle.
