Abstract
The germination rate of Gleditsia sinensis seed was 94.3% which was increased by 88.2% than control after the treatment by concentrated H2SO4 for two hours.Another treatment was breaking skin which induced 13.61 folds' increases in germination rate,2.41 folds' increase in coefficient of germinating speed and 16.53 days' decrease in mean germinating days.It suggested that treatment by concentrated H2SO4 for two hours was a suitable method for forced seed germination in forestry practice.
