Abstract

Effectively controlling project development cost is an omen of success for a project. A Suitable estimation approach can significantly improve the stability and reliability for the cost estimation of a project, with a result that the project cost will be better controlled. After thoroughly analyzing popular approaches of software project development cost estimation and considering the features of the life cycle of ERP outsourcing software project, this paper proposed a FRICE estimation approach for ERP outsourcing software project. The validation of the approach has been proved by many large -scale ERP outsourcing projects. It's helpful for project managers to estimate,control and manage project costs.
