Research on Expectations of Chinese Outbound Tourists to Canada:Based on a Market Survey

Abstract
The thesis is based on an authorized survey on 1400 Chinese Inbound tourists to Canada in 2006 by Canadian Tourism Commission.The author applied factors analysis method to extract 12 factors from the 55 expectations of the tourists.Among them are activities-sensitive factor,culture-sensitive factor,entertainment-sensitive factor,etc.the results of a cluster analysis of the 12 factors show that entertainment,difference-seeking and health/price are the three most clearly identified expectations model of the 1400 subject tourists with a proportion of 2∶2∶1,and entertainment and difference-seeking expectations are widely differed,too.The former is demonstrated by shopping,fashion,nightlife,gambling etc,and the latter by culture,aboriginal and exotic customs,etc.
