Abstract
A load-deflection analysis for a series of simple support beams tested at the university of Toronto is presented in the paper.The program used is based on the MCFT and secant stiffness formulation.Then comparison among test curves,caculated curves not including shear and caculated curves including shear was done.The results show that effect on the deflection can not be neglected of simple supported beam whose shear span ration is smaller than 5;and not the same for simple supported beam whose shear span ration is larger than 7.
