Preliminary Comparison of Steady Infiltration Rate in Woodland by the Three Methods

Abstract
Steady infiltration rate is an important parameter reflecting the soil permeability.The paper used double Ring Infiltrometer (RI),Rainfall Simulator (RS) and Guelph Permeameter (GP) to measure and estimate the steady infiltration rate of Chinese pine land in hilly region of Taihang Mountain.The steady infiltration rate obtained by the three methods was 0.5mm/min,0.35mm/min and 0.04mm/min,respectively.The advantages and disadvantages of the three methods were discussed to offer basis for further researches in future.However,this preliminary study on the comparison of the steady infiltration rate under three methods should be further enhanced because of the lack of sample points in this research.
