Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Feasibility and superiority of buckling restrained brace ( BRB) used as outrigger in high-rise building with frame-core tube are discussed, based on an actual project in Shenzhen. Ordinary brace case,in which it is used as web members of strengthened story truss, and BRB case are compared, including dynamic characteristic of the entire structure,inter-story drift when subject to frequent earthquakes, and base shear force under rare earthquakes. Results show that the sections of BRBs are smaller than those of ordinary braces under normal service state. It is useful for BRB to enhance stiffness and alleviate abrupt change of story stiffness. BRB will yield and dissipate cumulative hysteretic energy under rare earthquakes,it also helps to reduce earthquake action of the entire building and protect other important members from being damaged. BRB strengthened story is able to enhance stiffness and shear capacity while eliminates sudden stiffness change at the same time.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
