Abstract
As an important component of Canadian literature,Canadian ethnic literature in English is an important subject of Chinese scholarship on Canadian literature.The accomplishments of Chinese scholarship on Canadian ethnic literature in English are largely embodied in its focus on Chinese Canadian literature,South Asian Canadian literature,Jewish Canadian literature and Russian Canadian literature.It fails to pay due attention to other ethnic literatures and the study of some important ethnic writers is skin-deep.As a whole,Chinese scholarship on Canadian ethnic literature in English suffers from a lack of scope,which is,to a large extent,caused by the scarcity of the translation of Canadian ethnic literature in English.
