Abstract
In order to protect their national industries better from the potential impact of liberalized Chinese Trade,many WTO-members negotiated a special safeguard mechanism for a transitional period of time with China.While USA and Canada have taken a more industry-friendly approach,the EU producers have to accept that the EU has self-imposed a number of constraints in implementing the special safeguard mechanism in respect of China.
