Abstract
The activity of some enzyme and the content of soluble sugar were determined during seed germination of Emmenopterys henryi.The results indicated that the content of soluble sugar increased in early of seed germination,then decreased;The activity of Peroxide enzyme and amylase increased gradually in proceeding of germination.The activity of α-amylase and β-amylase increased continuously before germination;The activity of α-amylase rose rapidly,and the activity of β-amylase declined slowly after germination.The change of physiological and biochemical metabolism finally led to Seed germination and seedling growth.
