Abstract
As for data surveillance, the general packet radio service (GPRS) is the best candidate for always-on connection to any movement terminal. For the interconnection of the mobile terminal to an inter-working unit, a point to point protocol is required for data link operation protocol. In this paper, PPP protocol be planted into an embedded system. After a successful data link operation, the wireless monitor terminal can transmits data packets to server computer via GPRS network and Internet.
