Abstract
The focal point in the reform in experiment teaching is to break through the traditional experiment mode, to bring the students' initiative into full play and to strengthen students' cre-ativeness. Innovation requires strengthening individual personalities development. And to strengthen students' individuality requires reform in the content, methods and forms of experiments. Time and space should be open instead of being closed. The electronics design contest of college students gives people insight on how to stimulate students' initiative, competitive and innovative abilities and on how to develop students' practical engineering abilities.
