Abstract
Spherical cobalt hydroxide was prepared by chemical precipitation method in a specially designed tank reactor.It was found that pH value,the reaction temperature,the mixing speed and the liquid ammonia addition had an important influence on the precipitation reaction.These factors affected the synthesis of Co(OH) 2 precursor were studied.Cobalt chloride was selected as a raw material,sodium hydroxide as precipitant,the concentration of NH3.H2O was 0.5 ～ 0.7 mol/L,the reaction temperature was 60 ℃,the mixing speed was 300 rpm,the pH value was controlled among 10.5 ～ 10.7 during precipitating,and better Co(OH) 2 precursor can be obtained.
