Abstract
The introduction experiments were carried out on 43 species of legume and 9 species of grass forage from 2004 to 2006 in the low altitude experimental bases of Yudong, Banan District,Chongqing, and these varieties of forage come from America,New zealand,Australia and Canada.The nutrition component was analyzed in the laboratory and the growth performance of forage was observed in the field. Six good varieties of legume such as Medicago sativa L.(Eureka etc), and three good varieties of grass such as Hemarthria compressa(Chonggao), Lolium multiflorum(Ya97-2), Lolium multiflorum (Tetragold)with better growth performance and high yield were selected and extended in this region.
