There are very high efficiency and benefits in the heavy haul railways which are suitable for large amount transport of mass bulk goods,especially for iron mineral,coal etc.The paper introduces emphatically the experiences of running the heavy haul trains in American,Canada,Australia and many other countries in Africa and South America.It is considered that there would be necessary to study the technology,and expriences on heavy haul traffic abroad,so as to work out the plan for developing the heavy haul traffic in China.ES
