Abstract
From 1999 to 2007, an obvious convergence of wage increase has happened in China's eastern and west-central regions. And what is main reason for it? From an analytical framework of comparative advantage theory and new economic geography theory, we revealed labour mobility and west-central region's industrialization affect china's economy. The deregulation of labour mobility encourages the migration of labour factor, and promote the the labour factor-price equalization. The west-central regions promote the labour price factor increase through developing the second and third industry. If this continues, it will push the balance development of wage increase in coastal and hinterland regions.
