Abstract
Canada is a large immigrant country,and its sensitive,complicated issues of immigrants,refugees and ethnic discriminations deserve in-depth research.By means of unreliable narration,Atwood's The Robber Bride creates its heroine Zenia as a refugee.Through the deconstruction and construction of Zenia's ethnic identity,the novel reveals the ethnic discrimination in the Canadian multicultural context and the minority groups' choice for survival.The present paper interprets The Robber Bride with reference to Canadian multiculturalism and immigration history.
