Studies on the Tissue Culture and Plant Regeneration from Mature Embryos in Black Sticky Rice

Abstract
Using two black sticky rice varieties,Huishui Heinuo and Heinuo 141 as the materials,we studied on the conditions of callus tissue culture and plant regeneration from mature embryos.The results showed that the frequency of callus induction reached separately 93.84% and 90.52% from mature embryo of two varieties in the NBD1 medium.The subculture of callus was necessary before the shoots induction.The differentiation ration increased after drying the callus properly.The rate of callus differentiation was 95.18% and 89.38% for Huishui Heinuo and Heinuo 141 separately on suitable hormones.The shoots of the two varieties produced roots easily on the NBD 1 medium added 0.5 mg/L NAA.
