Abstract
The Handmaid's Tale is one masterpiece of the contemporary Canadian Literary QueenMargaret Atwood's novels,which won her the second Governor General's Award.A series of toxic discourses presented by the novel are analysed from the ecocritical perspective,which strikingly echo Rachel Carson's Silent Spring,the outset of toxic discourseand those ecological disasters and envionment justice in reality,demonstrating Atwood's profound ecological conciousness.
