Abstract
Studied on morphological characteristics,water absorption,water content,viability and germination characteristics through seeds of M. tenacissima handled with different hormones and different concentrations to analyze the biological characteristics of seeds to lay the foundation for cultivating high quality seedlings. The results showes that the fruit of M. tenacissim was follicles that contained( 24. 03 ± 0. 29) grains. The longitudinal diameter and transverse diameter were( 80. 84 ± 2. 07) mm and( 11. 22 ± 0. 29) mm. The thousand seed weight was( 22. 82 ± 0. 024) g and seed moisture content was 7. 93%. There had no dormancy characteristic that belonged to normal type seed. 150 mg /L GA3could improved the germination rate of seed significantly,others hormone treatment did not.
