Abstract
The paper deals with a number of theoretical models in domestic ethnic research advanced by Canadian scholars.These models are significant for research in the same area in other countries as well.The paper first introduces three sociological perspectives Canadian scholars use-functionalist,conflict,and interactionist perspectives and the significance of ethnic research for Canadian society.Then it elaborates on three theoretical models in ethnic research.Finally,the international implications of these models in ethnic conflict management are discussed.
