Abstract
NiCrAlY coatings were sprayed by APS with Laval nozzle and straight nozzle.The microstructure and properties of the coatings were characterized.The results indicated that the NiCrAlY coatings presented lamellar structures and apparent boundaries between splats.Some unmelted particles were included in the coating sprayed with the straight nozzle.The coating sprayed with Laval nozzle showed higher microhardness and bond strength than the coating sprayed with straight nozzle.
