Abstract
Objective To explore self-rating health condition and related factors in hospitalized schizophrenia.Methods A total of 320 patients with schizophrenia and 130 healthy controls were assessed with a self-designed general condition questionnaire,Self-rating Health Measurement Scale Version 1.0(SRHMS),Toronto Alexithymia Scale(TAS-26) and Self-rating Depression Scale and Depression Status Inventory(SDS).Correlation and regression analysis were carried out.Results Compared with controls,schizophrenic patients showed significantly lower scores in total score and each factor score of SRHMS(P0.05 or P0.01).The total score and most factor scores of SRHMS were significantly corrrelated with the total scores of SDS,TAS-26 and its factors in patients with schizophrenia(P0.05 or P0.01).The total score of SDS,general therapeutic effect and adverse effect,et al.entered the regression equation by turns for the total socre of SRHMS in patients with schizophrenia.Conclusion Patients with schizophrenia suffered from bad health status.Negative mood,therapeutic efficacy and side effects were responsible for health status in patients with schizophrenia.
