Abstract
With the aid of Web Map Service technology,a large amount of Web Map Service are developed and released to the network.For lack of organic connection among Web Map Services,uses are very difficult to gain and make use of these services.In the paper,one kind of Web Map Service search engine frame is put forward,including URL search engine,Capabilities Database and Capabilities response document analyzer.The URL search engine adopts a high efficiency Robot to search URL on the network,and judges weather the URL address accords with the WMS specification.The Capabilities response document analyzer sends a WMS GetCapabilites request to that address,judges if these URL is a Web Map Service according analyzing the response document extracts the WMS Metadata information and stores this information.It's tested that the WMS Search Engine may realize the search,sharing and service of WMS.
