Abstract
With the virtual tour realization of the residential subdistrict in a residential quarter,the key technologies under the condition of the combined application of 3DS MAX and VRML were elaborated.The key technologies included four ways of subdivide scenes,LOD node,inserting viewpoint,decreasing the size of document.
