Physiology Response of Amorpha fruticosa Seeds Germination to Salt and Drought Stress

Abstract
Amorpha fruticosa seeds were treated with NaCl,PEG-6000 and their mixed solutions of different concentrations.The seed germination indexes(germination rate,germination energy,seed vigor index),protective enzymes activity(superoxide dismutase SOD,peroxidase POD,catalase CAT),osmolytes content(proline,soluble protein) were tested under the three stresses.The results showed that all growth indexes decreased,SOD activity,POD activity and CAT activity and contents of proline and soluble protein increased at first and then decreased with the increasing of stress strenth.Comparing the results of three stresses,it could be suggested that Amorpha fruticosa had certain salt and drought tolerance during seed germination and seedling growing.The germinating seedlings had adaptability of cross-adaptation to harmful salt and drought stresses.
