Abstract
Forming at the turn of the Northern and Southern Song dynasties and reaching its prime in the Southern Song Dynasty, the School of Fuling of the Yi learning enjoys an ageold idealist Confucian tradition, owns a large contingent of scholars, fervent patriotic sentiments and local characteristics. This school exerted a succeeding and spreading function for CHENG Yi and ZHU Xi's idealist NeoConfucianism formed in the late Chinese feudal society, and had an extremely farreaching influence upon the culture and education of Sichuan province, especially,the area around Fuling.
