Abstract
Hard seed exists in germination of Indigofera amblyantha.Hard seed's coats must be properly treated so that permeability is increased without injuring the embryo.The results showed that the impermeability barrier of Indigofera amblyantha seed could be broken by soaking seed in hot water,immersing seeds in sulphuric acid and mechanical abrasion with coarse sand and suggested that soaking seeds of Indigofera amblyantha in boiling water for 15 minute is optimum treatment condition.Germinating percentage and germinating energy had the significant difference among each treatment(p0.05),but had no significant difference for germination index(p0.05).The study provides a basis for using hard seeds of Indigofera amblyantha.
