Abstract
A 60 GHz pulse generator with good performance is designed in this paper. Firstly,using step recovery diode( SRD) and coplanar waveguide,an ultra-wide band pulse is designed. Then,based on the frequency shifting method,a60 GHz pulse is got in the output. A SRD model,which is used to simulate the pulse generator,is established by an existing radio frequency software ADS,and the pulse generator is designed and simulated by the model. The simulation results show that the ultra-wideband pulse is 100 ps with 2. 4 V peak-to-peak amplitude; The length of 60 GHz pulse is 60 ps and the center frequency is in the vicinity of 60 GHz.
