Study on the Dynamics of Physiology and Biochemistry During the Process of Germination of Cyanotis arachnoidea

Abstract
Cyanotis arachnoidea is an important medicinal herb which contains the highest content ofβ-ecdysone and materials for the strength recovery. To get an understananding of the biology of the seed during the the process of germination,a study on the dynamics of the POD,SOD,CAT,MDA,soluble sugar,pproline,protein was evaluated,respectively. Results showed that there were active metabolism and physiological biochemistry processes during the germination and bud growth of the seed of C. arachnoidea,the soluble sugar and MDA content changed with a trend of increase and then a decrease,proline and the free amino acid content changed in a trend of the increase,but the content of the soluble protein changed with a trend of decrease with the germination of the seed. But the activity of SOD,POD and CAT were all showed a increase trend with the progress of the seed germination. All the results will provide a theoretical base for the germination physiology and planting of C. arachnoidea.
