Abstract
This experiment extracted antioxidant substances(flavonoid and total phenol)of cumin from Xinjiang Turpan by ultrasonic method in different growth period to evaluate the optimal growth period.The determination of total flavonoids and total phenolic content with spectrophotometric method.The measurement results showed that the highest flavonoids and polyphenol content of fruits of cumin was found in full-bloom stage.The content of flavonoids of the cumin gradually decreased after May.It can be obtained from this experiment that the best growth period of the fruits of cumin is in fullbloom stage.The method was simple,accurate,reproducible.It can be used to evaluate the best growth period of cumin and provide a scientific basis for rational development and utilization.
