The hybrids descendant between Chuannong 16 and turgidum landraces were investigated.The F_1 individuals possessed 35 chromosomes,whereas there were many variances in the meiosis configuration of pol- len mother cells (PMCs).Plant height and spikelets both were intermediate between the parents,and spike length was longer than parents.The seeds were obtained in F,generation.The quite segregation was detected in F_2 generation.The results also suggested that back cross with common wheat was reliable way to avoid the mad segregation.The perfect gene resource of turgidum landraces could be useful to wheat improvement through distant hybrid with common wheat.
