Abstract

An analytical method is developed for data processing of sedimentation analysis.The mathematical model for sedimentation curve has four parameters.The function of particle size distribution is deduced,from the function the curve of particle size distribution can be drawn.The most probable radius of particles is obtained by calculation of first derivative of the function of particle size distribution or by the curve.These are performed with Microsoft Excel,using graphical technique,Goal Seek,Solver and so on.The results show that the method of data processing needn 1 write program in a high-level language,and is convenient,precise and reliable.
