Abstract
This paper reviews the natural development of the Indoor City in Montreal,which is divided into seven stages including naissance,beginning,expanding,rapid developing,consolidating,re-developing and future.Successes and failures are summarized in respect of configuration,function,architectural form,policy and commerce principle.Then,the characters of Guangzhou city development were studied,and the experiences of success and failure were summed up,and then this paper brings forward the reasonable suggestions of Guangzhou's underground space development,so as to enhance the utilizing rate of underground space.
