Urban agglomeration is an important carrier of the national economy,it is an important indicator to measure the socio-economic development level of a country or a region,it's also an important spatial form and development poles of the urban and regional economic development,it has become the principal pattern of the development of China's urbanization.The interaction between the various cities of urban agglomeration can produce the integral economic benefits which the single city can not produce,thereby to achieve a win-win situation in which 1 +1 2.Under the background of low carbon economy,China's urban agglomeration will definitely carry out a new round accelerated development.This article analyzes the main features and development foundation of Guanzhong-Tianshui economic zone in the process of urban agglomeration development,by a comparative study of five major city groups in mid-west China,in the end it comes up with the development approach of urban agglomeration
