Abstract
Seed shape,the surface and inner side of episperm,the flank of endopleura,the episperm cross section structure of Eleutherococus senticosus Maxim were observed by stereoscope microscope and scanning electron microscope.The results showed that the seed of Eleutherococus senticosus Maxim was platy meniscus;the surface of episperm was nearly smooth,the surface was dense and smooth;The episperm cross section was composed of two parts of cells,5-7 layers outside and 1 layer inside.Embryonic development would be finished in conditiction of 23-24 ℃ by stratification for 3 months,physiological dormancy would be removed in 2 months under 0-5 ℃ condiction.
