Abstract
The general situation of geology education in University of Regina, including educational system, course system, teaching methods, exam system and seminar system, is briefly introduced. In terms of current situation of higher education in China, some enlightenment has been given also in this paper. It is pointed out that higher education in China should be internationalized, carrying out the teaching models of emphasizing basic subject and easy enrollment and difficult graduation, advocating the system of seminar, and paying more attention to the construction of public service system.
