Abstract
Time-Shifted TV(TSTV)is a novel service of Digital TV.TSTV based on HFC needs co-operation of special equipments,such as IPQAM and Set-Top Box.But at the stage of development,such hardware environment is hard to acquire.The emulator of STB discussed in this paper,can not only simulate the bidirectional communication between TSTV and STB,but also send out a large scale of concurrent requests.Practice of project shows,the STB emulator plays an important role in development and testing phase of TSTV system.
