Abstract
There is significant dormancy in Datural stramonium L.seeds.This study investigated the seed dormancy breaking technique of Datural stramonium L.The results showed that:The best method to break the seed coat barrier was alkali scarication with 10% NaOH for 90 minutes.Germination potential and germination rate of the seed reached to 40% and 82.5% respectively.Germination potential and germination rate of CK only reached to 4% and 8% respectively.Treating with 10% NaOH for 90 minutes first and then soaking in 300mg/L GA3 for 24 hours could improve the seed germination potential and germination rate significantly.Germination potential was increased by 70.5% and germination rate was increased by 83%.
