Abstract
The experiment studied the effects of different concentration of Cu stress on seed germination,growth and mitosis index of wheat.The results showed that seeds germination rate,length of root and growth of seedling and root-tip cell mitosis index decreased gradually with the increasing of Cu concentration.When Cu concentration was less than 0.3 g /L in water or 0.1 g /L in salt cultivates,there were no obvious influence in seed germination rate of the wheat.Whereas inhibitory action to seed germination rate when Cu was higher than 0.3 g /L in water or 0.1 g /L in salt was obvious.The salt cultivates was serious to the wheat poisons compared to water cultivates.The root-tip cell mitosis index was on1y 33.43%,36.74%,39.25% and 39.31% of the control.There were significant differences between the indexes of treatment groups and the control(p 0.05),but the indexes among treatment groups were not significantly different.
