With the Sochi Olympic Winter Games' venues as the case,this paper studies the character of the construction and post-event operation model of Olympic Games' venues with government-dominance attitude and its risk by using system theory,market equilibrium theory,and sustainable development theory.It aims to analyze the influence of the factors,which include the urban system,attribute of investors,post-event operation plan,construction style,construction master plan,construction character,comparing with Vancouver and other recent Olympic Winter Games host cities and their venues.Meanwhile,it proposes the suggestions for construction and operation of the winter sport venues in the northern cities of China.
