Based on amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP)markers,a molecular linkage map of potato was initially developed by using F1 segregating population from the cross between the diploid potato parents of 08675-21 and 09901-01.The genetic map included 24 main linkage groups,and the female-maps covered 512 cM with an average distance of 6.83 cM between adjacent markers while the male-maps covered 578 cM with an average distance of 6.08 cM between adjacent markers.
