Abstract
A new discrete variable structure control strategy is proposed and applied to design a controller for the distribution of active power of a parallel synchronous generators system. The results of computer simulation and experiment show that the proposed controller can improve dynamic performances of the system effectively and enable the system to have strong robustness property.
