Abstract
The anatomic structure and the components of Lycoris chinensis seeds were studied.The result showed that the seeds had the characteristics of recalcitrant seeds with high content of water.The endosperm contained comparably abundant soluble sugar and starch,which would provide nutrition for the later development of the seeds.The rod-like embryo located in the center of endosperm,composed of radicle,plumule,hypocotyl and cotyledon.Cotyledon made up for a larger proportion of the embryo.Hypocotyl was extremely reduced and the structure was not clear.
