Abstract
The one-thousand-seed weight,morphology,water content and germination ability of the seed of 12 Ailanthus alltissima provenances in Ningxia were determined to study the seed biological characteristics.The result showed that there was a difference of the characteristics among the different provenances.The length of average seed win for the provenances was 3.74 cm,average width was 1.12 cm,and average germination rate was 50.04%.The one-thousand-seed weight of Linwu provenance was biggest,and the germination rates of Pinluo,Qingtongxia and Huinong provenances were higher than that of others.
